Pádraig Ó Tuama, Leader of the Corrymeela Community will be participating in the Festival of Preaching at Christ Church, Oxford 10 – 12 September, 2017. The festival aims to inspire, nurture and celebrate all who are called to proclaim the gospel today, it offers a stimulating and varied programme of worship, lectures and workshops in the beautiful surroundings of Christ Church Oxford.

Topics will include:
– Nurturing the preacher’s soul
– The craft of preaching
– Making old words do new tricks
– The sacramentality of language
– The worst the lectionary can throw at you
– A week in the life of a preacher
– Preaching at baptisms, weddings and funerals
– Genres of preaching
– The art of the five–minute homily … and more.

Padraig’s sessions are as follows:
9.30pm Sunday 10th September – Late night liturgy
9.30pm Monday 11th September – Late night liturgy
9.00am Tuesday 12th September – Morning Worship
2.00pm Tuesday 12th September – Story Preaching
