Corrymeela’s major donor honoured by the American–Ireland Fund

The Corrymeela Community wishes to congratulate our esteemed donorJohn Fitzpatrick OBE, CEO – North America, Fitzpatrick Hotel Group on being elected incoming Chair of the American Ireland Fund.
John, through the work of the Eithne and Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund, has been a supporter of Corrymeela for many years in assisting us secure the lounge in the re built Main House and a Creative Learning Facility in the Davey Village, along with support to a number of innovative youth work programmes.
John has attended the Corrymeela Centre on numerous occasions meeting volunteers and young people engaged in youth work programmes. His most recent visit, in October 2012, was to open the Fitzpatrick Room when the Davey Village was opened by Alison Davey with the First Minister Peter Robinson MLA, Deputy First Minister Martin Mc Guiness MLA and the Chair of the International Fund for Ireland, Dr Adrian Johnston.
Over the years the world–wide Ireland Funds have supported the Corrymeela Centre on numerous occasions. We thank the outgoing Chair Loretta Brennan Glucksman for her interest and wish John and his Board well in their future charitable work.
