Aberdeen Corrymeela Support Group

The Aberdeen Corrymeela group has been running since 1985, and is ecumenical, we aim to support Corrymeela’s work through their prayers and actions.

Thanks to our well-supported annual coffee morning in March, we have raised almost £30,000 over the years for the Community’s work which everyone at Corrymeela is most thankful for.

We meet in Aberdeen on the second Wednesday evening in September, November, January and May either at Queen’s Cross Church Hall or at St Mary’s Cathedral. We keep up to date with developments at Corrymeela and in Northern Ireland generally.

We have developed links over the years with Corrymeela’s group of Community members and friends in Coleraine. We have met up with them at Pluscarden Abbey and on Iona, and in 2005 many of our group travelled together for an unforgettable weekend at Corrymeela itself. For some of our members it was the first time they had ever been to Northern Ireland let alone Corrymeela.

Corrymeela Coffee Morning on Saturday 15th March

Any contribution towards the stalls (provisions and delicatessen; home baking; jewellery, toiletries and cards; plants; books, DVDs and CDs; and cards) will be gratefully received at Queen’s Cross halls the evening before, Friday, 14th March, from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. Non-perishables may be left at the Church Office, Albyn Place, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon from Tuesdays to Fridays.

If you would like to find out more about the group, any stallholder at the coffee morning will provide information about our activities, or I can be contacted by post, phone or email.  It should appeal to those interested in ecumenical activities, or in reconciliation, or in justice and peace.
