People rarely leave Corrymeela unmoved.
For some, visiting Corrymeela is life-changing, for others, it is just really good fun. Whatever the reaction, nobody ever forgets the time they went to Corrymeela. There is something unique and special about this place. Perhaps it is the magnificent ocean views, or the spacious six-acre grounds and gardens, or the genuine welcome and hospitality.
Corrymeela is not a hotel, or conference centre. We are a community of Christians committed to a shared future, peace and reconciliation. Our centre in Ballycastle has been a safe place of meeting, encounter and dialogue since 1965. Most of our accommodation and meeting spaces have recently been rebuild and caters for all levels of guest expectations. Our dining experience is an integral part of the Corrymeela welcome – our menu options are wonderful, diverse, traditional, fresh and wholesome. We will cater for all needs, and exceed your expectations.
We are experienced in hosting youth groups, schools, families, community groups, churches, international groups, and senior citizens. We can plan with you a customized programme of activities to make your visit special depending on your goals and needs. We also welcome and accommodate self-programming groups. This is the added value of Corrymeela, the part that challenges, inspires, and creates the fun; the part that provokes thoughts, and discussions, the part that really changes people’s outlook.
Corrymeela is an extra-special place. You will meet special people here, and do special things. Your group will leave relaxed, refreshed, and hopefully inspired, and challenged. The Corrymeela centre is a wonderful place to relax and reflect. Go to one of the quiet corners of the site, look out over the sea, or along the coast where the Glens of Antrim sweep into the sea. Nowhere on this planet is more relaxing, more contemplative.
We are less than two miles from the beautiful town of Ballycastle and can transport you in and out of the town for shopping or social time in the evening. You are also only a stone’s throw from the Giant’s Causeway and Rathlin Island…well, at least a local giant’s stone’s throw.
