The Corrymeela Community is seeking a passionate and committed Executive Director to provide strong and clear leadership and have a significant impact on the organisation’s future strategy and sustainability. The role of Executive Director is a demanding role requiring commitment, courage, adaptability and leadership.
The post–holder will require passion for the principles of peace and reconciliation, extensive experience and proven leadership qualities to lead the Corrymeela Community to its next chapter of development. In the context of a changing and uncertain environment, particularly in relation to funding, we recognise the need to adapt and respond to potential and existing challenges.
This role offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual with a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of the Corrymeela Community. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant leadership experience and operational management. S/he will bring experience of motivating, leading and developing teams, be an engaging and inspiring communicator with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels – from funders, donors to staff and volunteers.
The successful candidate will be confident and self–aware, inspiring, motivating and supporting the staff team, and building strong relationships with key external stakeholders. In return, you will have the full support of Council (the Board) and a rewarding role leading a charity that positively impacts on individuals and communities across our region.
