The Corrymeela Community now wishes to recruit for the following:

PROJECT COORDINATOR – LEGACIES OF CONFLICT

Fixed Term, 1st April 2019 – 31st March 2020  (37.5 hours per week) 

Base: Corrymeela, Belfast

The Programme Coordinator will make a significant contribution to the realisation of Corrymeela’s strategic plan for programmes under the theme of ‘Legacies of Conflict’. They will have specific responsibility for the management and delivery of two key projects that explore the legacies of conflict, both locally and globally.

•                ‘Belfast and the World, 1918 – 1921: Marking the Decade of Centenaries. The project is being delivered on behalf of Belfast City Council as part of their PEACE IV Plan, which is funded by the European Union and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

•               ‘Our Past, Our Places, Our Perspectives’, a project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

INTERIM SUPPORT: INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES

Fixed Term Temporary – 2 months with possibility of extension (40 hours per month)

Base: The Corrymeela Residential Centre, Ballycastle 

The main focus of this role is to manage the administration and overall coordination of all international universities under the Corrymeela programme.

The Corrymeela Community invites applications for the position of:

LEADER OF THE CORRYMEELA COMMUNITY

Corrymeela is an ecumenical Christian Community committed to reconciliation founded in 1965. It is involved in peace building, reconciliation and social justice affairs primarily, but not exclusively, in Northern Ireland. As part of our work we operate a residential centre in Ballycastle Co Antrim. Our mission is to Transform Division Through Human Encounter, and we seek to appoint a Leader who will sustain and develop this.

Purpose of the Position:

To be the Leader of a 170 strong inclusive ecumenical Christian Community of reconciliation; supporting and developing Corrymeela’s public work and witness by leading and developing our exploration and practice of public theology and reconciliation.

To provide Strategic Leadership — in collaboration with the Executive Director — on the vision and direction of Corrymeela’s work and witness.

Salary: £50k per annum
