Pay It Forward

Do you want to use your NI £100 Spend Local card to give back? Why not Pay It Forward! Simply use your voucher to support local businesses and give us a cash gift to enable people to live well together locally. £30 could provide a day recharging and renewal for a frontline worker at our beautiful Centre.

Unfortunately we can’t accept the cards directly, however you can simply use your voucher in local businesses and offset the money spent by making a donation to us.

This simple act of generosity contributes to our local economy here in Northern Ireland and also creates an opportunity for us to continue in the vital work we do.

How to Pay It Forward:
  • Spend your Spend Local card in local businesses on whatever you like—essentials, a treat—anything, really!
  • Make a cash donation of all or part of the money from the scheme to Corrymeela using the buttons below

Other ways to donate

Your gift of:

£30 could pay for an exhausted Youth Worker to visit our Centre for a day of relaxation and recharge
£65 could pay for a Community Worker to visit our Centre for an overnight stay

Just one example of how your generous gift could be used—to support more community workers like Amy from Monkstown Boxing Club.

She visited our centre in the spring along with 4 fellow youth workers for a day of rest and relaxation after an exhausting year living through a pandemic; supporting young people from the community who were coping with many challenges including drugs and alcohol misuse, challenging family backgrounds and the influence of paramilitaries.

Amy said that “After 14 months we were crying out for time and space to renew ourselves and it was great to take some time out to reflect and see how far we’ve come and explore how to sustain ourselves and our projects going forward, we’re all going home a lot lighter, happier and refreshed”.

By ‘Paying It Forward’ to Corrymeela will enable us to support more people like Amy and her team to live well together. Thank you.
