Faith, Courage and Civic Society
18 Sep 2019
Corrymeela Centre, Ballycastle
3.00pm to 5.00pm.
In the face of ongoing incidents of community violence and no regional assembly in Northern Ireland, many people feel that they do not have a voice.
Could this be improved by creating collective voices, amplifying existing voices and addressing destructive narratives?
And what would that look like for communities?
And what would that look like for the church?
Join us for an open event exploring how we can contribute to peace through collective civic courage and what that might look like through the context of faith. We will have keynote inputs from Fr Martin Magill and Paul Hutchinson and a mixture of small and large group conversations. We hope the event will act as a stimulus for future initiatives and so we will consider what the possible next steps might be.
This event is being held as part of Good Relations Week 2019 under Corrymeela’s Sectarianism Programme.
To register your attendance, please click on the link below (page will open in Eventbrite). We aim to have a diverse group of 30 people.
Good Relations Week is coordinated by the Community Relations Council in conjunction with The Executive Office and the Department for Communities.
