‘Seed of Sequoia’ is a practical guide for faith communities responding to domestic and sexual violence – made possible by a funding form the Sir Halley Stewart Trust.

25th November 2021. 11.O0am –1 pm ONLINE WEBINAR

It is estimated that at least 1 in 4 women will experience domestic and sexual violence in Ireland, north and south of the border, irrespective of background, age and religion.

Corrymeela recognises that faith leaders and church communities are uniquely positioned to respond to situations of domestic violence and abuse within congregations with compassion, kindness and love. That is why we are so pleased to announce the launch of this new resource.

Seed of Sequoia equips faith leaders to use their positions of responsibility to support survivors of domestic violence and abuse, and to examine the deep–rooted issues and causes within the context of Northern Ireland.

Join us for an online event when we will launch this resource. >>Register here.<<

The launch will feature Rev Dr Helen Paynter, Director of Centre for the Study of Bible and Violence. We are also delighted to be joined by Colette Stewart , CEO of ONUS, Will Moore, Author and Anglican Ordinand and Pádraig Ó Tuama – Irish Poet and Theologian.
