We would love to welcome you to our Blessed are the Brave Retreat at our Centre in Ballycastle, 5 Drumaroan Road, Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, BT54 6QU.

Friday 9th January 2026 5.30pm until Sunday 11th January 2026 2.00pm

A weekend retreat for LGBTQIA+ faith leaders and affirming allies from Christian traditions.  The retreat is facilitated by Jade Irwin from Diverse Church.

This is our twelfth Blessed Are the Brave event. Each year we welcome new and repeat participants on a weekend designed specifically for faith leaders from the Christian traditions who are inclusive of the lives, relationships and leadership of LGBTQIA+ people. We will have the opportunity to share, listen, reflect, design, pause, lament, hope and be together.

Cost and Accommodation                 

Single Bedroom: £230.00 per person (Limited availability)

Shared Bedroom: £130.00 per person

Non Residential participant: £95 per person

Concessionary Rate available  (if required)

General information

• When you arrive, please go directly to the Davey Village for registration
• You are free to make use of the comfortable spaces prepared and the lounge, perfect for reading or writing
• Bring along good walking / rain gear if you would like to explore the coastal walks, also, bring slippers for added comfort in the lounges
• Guests must vacate their bedroom by 10am on the day of departure (including removal of all belongings)
• As part of community life, we ask that you help by stripping your bed on the morning of departure
• We do not provide bath towels, so please bring these with you
• When completing your Enquiry Form, please notify us of any dietary requirements, medical and/or accessibility information
• We do not provide transport for Open Events
