22 Nov 2025
Belfast Cathedral

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a HUGE success.

We were overwhelmed by the turnout, the generosity –– and the music.

Well done Sounds Connected, chaired by Mary Braithwaite and directed by Dave Stewart. And thank you, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange for sharing this work with us.

Celebrating the 300th Anniversary of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons

Season To Sing is a choral re–imagining by Joanna Forbes L’Estrange of Vivaldi’s enduringly popular set of violin concertos, The Four Seasons. Published in the 300th anniversary year of Vivaldi’s most famous work, A Season to Sing enhances the music’s programmatic intent by weaving into the well–loved melodies texts from poetry and the Bible on the subject of spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Joanna Forbes L’Estrange is a British vocalist and choral composer. Her mission to create a body of tuneful, singable, well–crafted music which every choir can enjoy performing has been described as “an integrity of purpose that infuses every musical phrase that Forbes L’Estrange writes.” (BBC Music Magazine)

Celebrating our 60th year, the Corrymeela Community was delighted to have Sounds Connected perform this musical extravaganza on our behalf. All proceeds raised are going directly towards supporting our programmes and people.
