Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT)

IMAGE OF THE ENEMY

Hosted by Corrymeela and Queen’s University’s Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation and Social Justice

The Image of the Enemy is a documentary of Palestinian and Israeli voices, directed and produced by people associated with St. Mary’s University, Texas, a longtime educational partner of Corrymeela. The film explores stories of insecurity and occupation, stories of ‘us’ and ‘them’, stories of hope and resolve. The Image of the Enemy acknowledges the complexity of dialogue and the need for active listening as a powerful counter to the ‘enemy imaging’ that always accompanies and follows violent conflict.

The film’s director, assistant director, and associate producer will be visiting as a part of the St. Mary’s field study at Corrymeela. They will form a panel for a discussion following the film screening.

The event is free and open to the public. Please feel free to pass this invite on to others who may be interested.
