The power of Human Encounter. Corrymeela Sunday 2017

We are delighted to share our resources for Corrymeela Sunday with you. Corrymeela Sunday occurs every year on the Sunday closest to St. Patrick’s day.

This year the texts focus on Human Encounter, and so we offer you reflections on the readings, some prayers and a collect to gather in those readings in light of the work and mission of Corrymeela.

The resource can be found by clicking this link.

Pádraig, the leader of the Corrymeela Community, will be participating in some events at Leicester Cathedral, together with the wonderful people from the Cathedral, on the 18th and 19th March as part of our annual celebrations of Corrymeela Sunday. While final times for the Saturday events are yet to be decided, the current outline is:

Saturday, 18th March
2.30pm Seminar at Leicester Cathedral exploring the Ethics of Remembering in an age of conflict.
4pm. Seminar on how contemporary LGBT dialogues within Christian traditions may learn from the Irish peace processes.
7pm. An evening of music and poetry at the Cathedral.

Sunday, 19th March
10.30am. Cathedral Eucharist, with Pádraig Ó Tuama preaching.
12.15–1.15pm Discussion about the current projects and work of Corrymeela.
