A Revolutionary Musical Experience

“A Season to Sing” transforms Vivaldi’s iconic baroque instrumental work into a rich choral tapestry, breathing new life into familiar melodies through the power of the human voice. Renowned contemporary composer Joanna Forbes L’Estrange has crafted an innovative interpretation that honours the original’s seasonal journey while creating something entirely new for modern audiences. L’Estrange will be attending this Irish premiere.

I’m delighted that Sounds Connected Community Chorus will be giving the Ireland Première of A Season to Sing this November and I’m much looking forward to working with choir prior to the performance” said L’Estrange.

I have so enjoyed being part of this international project celebrating 300 years since the first performance of Vivaldi’s iconic Four Seasons!” said Dave Stewart, Music Director of Sounds Connected.  Stewart added, “our Community Chorus is one of 55 ‘co–commissioning choirs’ from around the world that will perform A Season to Sing in 2025. It’s such a privilege to work with composer Joanna Forbes L’Estrange and our Community Chorus of over 60 local voices to present this fascinating new piece. What a great way to bring people together to honour both Vivaldi’s legacy and Corrymeela’s 60 years of peace–making!”
