Ask not what Ballycastle can do for you – but what you can do for Ballycastle!

Corrymeela in partnership with local Volunteer organisations invite you to take part in our Volunteer Appreciation event on Monday 6th June 2016.

Corrymeela receives over 80,000 volunteer hours every year and we want to recognise and appreciate all volunteers who make our work possible. And we are not the only voluntary organisation to depend on the work of volunteers within the local area.  We will meet with Greenlight Gateway, Solas, Ballycastle Community Development Group, Moyle Youth Community, Ballycastle Youth Club, Dalriada Pathfinder, Ballycastle Museum and Ballycastle Church Action. Together we will walk through Ballycastle to raise awareness and show appreciation for the sterling work of volunteers covering a wide variety of roles and organisations.

The event will begin at Greenlight Gateway premises at 10am, with local organisations meeting and walking through the town, making our way up to Corrymeela, enjoying the scenery along the way!

At Corrymeela, all will be welcomed and enjoy some tea/coffee.  During this time each organisation can take some time to thank their volunteers and raise awareness of the work that they do.  It will also be an opportunity to provide information on different volunteering opportunities in the local area. This event is open to the public and we would welcome the chance to talk to anyone with an interest in finding out a little more about Volunteering locally.

For more information contact Lisa Mooney at Corrymeela on 028 2076 2626.
