Help Richard & Yvonne buy a Defibrillator for Corrymeela

27 Jul 2017

heartIn July, Richard and Yvonne Naylor (Community Members) celebrate their 40th Wedding anniversary, followed by Yvonne’s 65th birthday in September and Richard’s 70th birthday in October. They would like to mark these special days by raising money for an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to be placed in the House at Corrymeela.

Earlier this year, a Corrymeela Community Member collapsed at the side of the road in Ballycastle. Fortunately, he was spotted by passersby, two of whom were trained in CPR. This person is now back leading a normal active life.

Recently, a number of staff, Community members and volunteers took part in the Heartstart training at which they practised CPR and learned about using an AED. Both CPR and AED can save the lives of those who collapse with a heart attack or cardiac arrest.

Can you help Richard & Yvonne raise £1,500 for a Defibrillator?
