The Interfaith & Belief Project

The Belfast Local Community Action Plan has recently launched a project supporting faith and belief groups across our city. The Interfaith and Belief Project aims to provide opportunities for each tradition to present their own perspective positively, while also building understanding and stronger relationships between – and towards – the many faith and belief communities that make up Belfast.

We need lots of participants to help us build this programme!

If you want to see your own faith or belief perspective positively portrayed in public settings by working with others, then please be part of this project – together, we can help our city develop better understanding of difference, address sectarianism and racism, and embrace diversity! If you are not a person of faith, then there are also opportunities.

We need participants to help us to:

  • Celebrate the rich diversity of Belfast through exploring faith festivals and events
  • Create learning resources to show the positives of faiths and beliefs for our city and society
  • Build understanding of our communities to highlight the best of their social contribution
