Trauma Informed Project

Trauma informed practice provides a critical ingredient to shape current and future support for those who have experienced pain and suffering from trauma adversity on the margins of society.

The project is delivering:

A diverse range of mental health and wellbeing programmes and services, through a consortium of partners, within a trauma informed approach, supporting safety and engagement of the asylum seeking and refugee community.

Trauma informed training, designed for professionals, practitioners, and volunteers supporting people seeking asylum and refuge in Northern Ireland, providing a unique opportunity to participate in a two–day residential on the Trauma–Informed Approach (TIA) to practice at the Corrymeela Centre in Ballycastle.

This project has been supported by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland through the Department for Health, Mental Health Fund.
