Corrymeela Volunteer

Short Term

Work alongside our residential volunteers and our programme staff

Corrymeela relies upon short term volunteers (STVs) throughout the year who work alongside other staff and volunteers for a few hours in a day or up to three months.

This provides an ideal opportunity to meet new people from all over the planet, contribute to our work by sharing & learning skills, build confidence and self–esteem and help Corrymeela fulfil its mission.

Our STVs work in our housekeeping and kitchen teams. There are opportunities to support and host in residential or day groups, to help in our polytunnel, work in the garden and also limited oportunities to answer the phone and welcome visitors at reception.

The support provided by STVs throughout the year means that Corrymeela has the energy to practice hospitality and extend a warm welcome to the thousands of people who visit our site in Ballycastle each year.

There is no set charge to volunteer with Corrymeela. When volunteers are staying residentially we do invite people to consider making an affordable donation towards their accommodation and meal costs.

The deadline for applications is rolling throughout the year.

If you are interested, please email for an application pack.

If you are over 18 years you are welcome to apply.

We welcome applications from European citizens (or those with the right to remain in the UK) interested in volunteering for between 1 day and three months. Residential volunteering is subject to availability. Applications from other international volunteers will always be considered but opportunities are more limited.
